Every Sunday starting June 23 - CTQ (common Thread Quilts) is holding ‘Singer Sundays’ at the History Center

Each Sunday CTQ will focus on a different decade; highlighting local history, world history, and what was happening with Singer sewing machines

The Wanakena Historical Association (WHA) was formed in the year 2000 to:
- Preserve historic sites and structures
- Disseminate and encourage greater knowledge of the history of the Hamlet of Wanakena
- Gather, preserve, display and make available materials relating to the history of Wanakena
- Encourage suitable marking of sites of historic interest
- Promote and encourage original historical research
